Fredericksburg Bluebonnet Wine and Cheese Festival

Welcome to our annual Fredericksburg Bluebonnet Festival. Welcome home! This is a casual Cheese and Wine Festival celebrating Texas Bluebonnets with a down home Texas twist! Please don’t come expecting a Ritz Carlton in New York! Take a breath and get ready to enjoy the country! Goats. Chickens. Weird Neighbors. And Mo’! Our VIP Cheese Area is in the rustic ol’ Bankersmith Dance Hall. The Wine Tasting Area is in our parking lot. This is a little place, population 0, with lot’s of Texas character (AND characters). We have about a half a dozen local artists and bands playing throughout Saturday and will have a small, fun kids area with farm animals for the kids! We have planted 1,500 Bluebonnet Plants in our gardens here at Bankersmith Dance Hall and Saloon and they look GREAT. If you take pictures along the way here of Bluebonnets on the various roadways, remember to TAG and post #BankersmithTX for the best Bluebonnet photo awards! CASH PRIZES for the best ones uploaded to Facebook and IG! We look forward to seeing the Bluebonnets from along the roadsides during your trip here. As many of you know, the historic winter storm with ice and freezing temps decimated many young bluebonnet fields. Indeed it destroyed our newly seeded Bluebonnet fields here, but the potted Bluebonnets are just as beautiful! Please be patient if arriving midday SATURDAY. Noon until 5 PM is the busiest time and you will likely experience lines during that time. We always encourage guests to come BEFORE noon 12 PM or AFTER 4 PM. Everyone, please make sure to take time to meet our goats and get your Bluebonnet Face Painting and a picture in front of the Bluebonnet Step and Repeat Wall. WARNING: We have Bluebonnets planted in all of our gardens but PLEASE do not come expecting fields of Bluebonnets on site. The Texas Hill Country is the Bluebonnet epicenter of the Universe, and our event is celebrating that treasure! You will see many on your ride in.
